Dave's Dogs
You may ask yourself: "why does this guy think I care about his dogs?". The
answer: I don't think you care about my dogs. I care about my
dogs, and I do a lot of travelling on business. This is how I can make sure that a picture
of Butler or Sadie or one of our foster dogs is always available to me.
We have two dogs, a Greyhound named Sadie, and a Whippet named Butler. From time
to time, we also have a guest dog, in the form of a foster dog from Greyhound Pets of America.
GPA is a national group which obtains retired dogs from greyhound racing tracks,
and find adoptive homes for them. We work with GPA-Central Texas by providing a
temporary, transitional home for dogs while they learn how to be pets instead of racing
animals. So far, the dogs have each stayed with us any where from six weeks to two
months. We are usually the last home a retired greyhound has before it finds a
permanent home with an adoptive family.
